This piece of stone tablet was located on North Mountain in Gerrardstown WV. It was located about 10 ft from a possible metorite. Can anyone tell me anything about it? I am including my rough sketch to possibly help in deciphering this (if possible). Any ideas?

Well, that's as close as I can get, but at least it bumps the topic back to the top. :-\

Looks like ancient "directions" for building an Atlatl. Tools needed and parts included.

More close up pic's might help with something to reference it's size? Is there anything on the back? Did you find it, if so did you look for more pieces?
If I'm gaging the corner correctly it appears to be about 4" 1/2 x 5" or 6" is this correct? HH

No I was not the one to find this. As I understand it, Gary did search - that is how he located the metorite that was nearby. Sorry the picture was taken on my cell phone. I too have a stone with something on it I cannot figure out as well. I have tried repeatedly to get a better image as well, but stone doesn't photograph as well as I would like it to. Here is a picture of what I found too, maybe someone can tell what it is as well.

I dont know much on WV but that last one might just be a fossil. Looks like limestone and worms would of been in that stuff. Not trying to be negative, just trying to help. I could be wrong...Good Luck, rock
