Eric,

For a great read on the history of the Gila River I would recommend: "Gila: The Life and Death of an American River" by, Gregory McNamee. Inexpensive copies can be found at: abebooks.com

Take care,

Joe

Joe,

I have been fascinated with these threads, and have gained a lot of insight , and interest in the area, although never been there myself, my parents were winter residents of Apache Jct. for over 20 years. Always been interested in the history. Thanks again...Gary

Thank You to my friends and I'm guessing Treasure Hunter, for lifting my ban. I will try to "Tone it down" a bit. Unfortunately TH caught me at a bad time and I felt I was being singled out and treated unfairly which really set me off.

I would hope that the Dirty Dutchman's ban might be lifted as well, unfortunately sometimes we let our emotions ruin our thoughts and post without taking a moment to clear our heads. The Deep Dark Waters of the Dutch Hunters Community can be very frustrating with the rules to uphold forum behavior, I'm sure face to face we would handle these situations differently and with more respect. With that said, yes I would call some of you crazy to your face but I would also shake your hand and respect your opinions.

My reply........."Doctor say's its just a slight tick and I should stay away from dishonest people"

Any word from the Dirty Dutchman?
