Stone carving unknown origin

This was used as collateral for rent to my fiancée mom and was supposedly carved by a slave and then recovered from a ship wreck (my fiancée says she has paperwork but cant find it yet). Any ideas on where it is from or any information on it?

Toltec Mayan or Aztec. Not african american. Post it in the Indian Artifact section and maybe a member named Joshua will give you an I.D. He knows his stuff. My guess is it is from around the Panama canal area,,,
