Went to check out a new spot today I only had a few min. I poked around and out of the cold damp soil came this stirrup made of brass. The site I was at was a town that was settled in the 1790"s and was all but gone by 1870. There were 4 brother from the town that were all killed during the civil war. And I have permission to do just about the whole area the town stood its now all fields. I can't wait to go back when I have a few hours.

Very nice!!!I always cringe when those are found broken....tells a story of a likely "wreck",and those are seldom good!!!
