Stirrup from Culpeper

I've had this Stirrup on here once before but was wandering if there might be someone with new information that could possibly help determine
its age, civil war/revolutionary war era or any other info. I found this using a Garrett Ace 350 in Culpeper, Va. a little over a year ago. It was about
10"-12" in the dirt under a fallen tree in the middle of the forest in view of Cedar Mountain on a private Farm. We found other civil war items in the same general area that were identified immed. but info on this stirrup seems to be sketchy at best.

Very nice find but some restoration should be in order....rust never sleeps.
 

It looks Rev War Period to me, I could be wrong. I have only found one whole one, ever.
