I have pounded a site here on the farm and the finds are getting scarce but I was bored yesterday and headed there again. I got a good signal and started digging. The deeper I got the more I started thinking iron. Sure enough at over 2 1/2 feet I dug up this iron object. I couldn't have been more surprised! A CW stirrup! My first. I'll clean it up and post it again. BTW... I was using the Nautilus 2B with 15" coil. HH!

Brnn53, Great find!!! My hunting buddy and I were out Monday and he found a stirrup also!! I have found spurs, but no stirrups. Great job!!! Great hunting and good luck!! Regards, Richard.

2 1/2 feet deep...thats amazing. Great recovery, I would love to find anything I could definately say was a civil war relic, I don't care how rusty it is.
