Still not very much to write home about but enough to write here to you. 😏

At least I got some exercise. 🤷‍♂️

A "bling" ring and another antique button. At least I assume it's a button. The one just below the ring is the one I found last time, just cleaned up. The next one below is either another button or possibly some small ancient coin. I can't tell. 🤷‍♂️

Oh well.....at least I got some exercise and there is the aspect of seeing nature up close.

Thanks for peeking!

Those look like fun finds to me. Better watch that turtle, though. Folks around here say that if they bite you they won't let go until lightning strikes.

Heard that also.... but NOT those little guys..? When I was very young 12-13 my cousin and I were seining a small rural pond for baitfish for our Uncle's trotlines in Missouri. Probably had a 10-15 ft. net and 6' poles on each end. All 5' of me was almost underwater and I couldn't move my end anymore. Then I felt my end by the pole MOVE me around. My uncle jumped in grabbed my end and barely got it back up on shore. There on my end was a HUGE-LARGEST-BIGGEST snapping turtle I have ever seen. At least a 12"+ neck, feet/claws larger than my hands and a shell larger than any garbage lid I've ever seen. And it was NOT HAPPY. My uncle shot it with a pistol, took home and cleaned it up.

He said I was lucky it didn't bite me. Because if it had it wouldn't let go till lightning strikes...! I doubted that because whatever it bite was just plain coming off.... period...!

Now back on point...

That's why I took the picture from a distance. I know the reputation. This picture is not a very good one perspective wise. This Thing was huge.!!

But I'm very respectful of nature and it's the domain. I just got my picture and let Mr. Slowpoke go about his business.

Thanks!

You fooled me with the pic size of the turtle.... They may be a little slow but they only have to get "lucky" once and your having a "bad day" moving forward...! Glad to hear your out and about again.
