Looks like what we find all the time and call flat buttons 1820s to 1840s .Some say london on the back,some say color gilt ....If it has no marks on the front and you really want to know what it is, your going to have to read the words on the back...

Clean the back up a little with a toothpick or something... keep trying till you can read the back, or most of it anyway.

Thanks for lookin....I'm looking for a good button site to look for familiar patterns to I.D. this button.Trying the toothpick idea now.
