5.JPG9.JPG6.JPG7.JPG7a.jpg7b.jpg Here are some more bottles found under my dining room floor. There was evidently at least one drinking man in my house, if not more, back in the 1800s.

I'd offer you a drink to ease your pain sandchip but the bottles were emptied a long time ago.

Very nice.
How old is the house?
It looks like you are finding older bottles.
The pickle jar with the crude lip and the medicine bottle look older.
Have you tried probing ?
Is there much broken glass ?

Im starting to think that was a glass factory before a house crazy cool finds

That's amazing! I hope you keep rescuing those old bottles and??? Who knows!

Years ago I was hired to insulate under an old house. The entrance to the crawl space was a door in the floor of the parlor. When I opened the door the ground was covered with liquor bottles. I mention this to the original home owners nephew who was in his 70s. He said that was the room that they held wakes in and they would drink and toss the bottles under the floor.

more awesome finds

There is no writing on the bottle with the cork (lbmike1655). My house dates back to around 1800 (Deep1). Have recovered most, if not all, of everything not broken. There is loads of broken pieces of glass, pottery and the like still down under there. Will attempt to start sorting through all of that next time I venture down under again. Will definitely take photos when I do. For now I still have a few finds left to post.IMG_9030.JPG18839047_10203028232104905_4996615939649159004_n.jpg18920568_10203028249945351_4777089641340609097_n.jpg

You have a great place to hunt...your house! :notworthy: When I go bottle hunting, I'm in three four plus of dirt, sand and ash...:BangHead:
