Some will know that I've been on a small hiatus. Just couldn't get up the gumption to hunt. A bit of burn out I suspect.

Anyway, I felt a little more like trying today, but just a simple walk. Pretty much just stopped for "high squeaks". Didn't feel like digging much. Still, even though just a modern school ground, didn't do too terribly. I've mentioned that I seem to be blessed in that I'm able to find in even high hunted areas. This trip didn't do much to defray my thought. LOL

Here's the take:

Like I said, not too terrible. Could always be worse. ;)

A newer school ground and yet:

The one on the left says 243, I think. Strange finds here.

But, I believe that Old Dude will especially appreciate this next one:

Whatcha think? For a newer school? LOL

Front was pretty much toasted but could get some pretty good info off the back.
I think it says "W. Wallis Extra Rich"

And, then, "While making my way back to the car." LOL

I believe Blingie has laid his claim in no uncertain terms. LOL

This ring appears to be just bling, but it is constructed pretty well.
Pretty solid, doesn't appear to have been plated, nonmagnetic, but no hallmarks. :dontknow:

Anyway, I took a break, came back and it appears,
I've pretty much picked up right where I left off.

Thanks for peeking!

Good to see ya "back in the saddle" so to speak. Very productive hunt, that button is awesome!

I'm out for at least a week, in the process of painting an entire house so we can move in, it helps that it was built in the 1910s so I can take a break and detect now n then

Yeah, awesome would just about cover it. It's circa 1800 - 1828! AND, from a new school house! LOL

Hope you find lots at your "new" house!

Thanks!

Looks like that wasn't work at all. Very nice old button. I seem to find bullets in the strangest places too. I detected a " beach " at a historic old park in Tn last year and other than a very small bit of clad, I only found an unfired bullet. Keep on keepin' on.....the rest of us expect it from you!

Strange finds in strange places. Man! If they could only talk!

Thanks!

I figured the button might ring well with you after your story of finding your first flat button. LOL

Thanks for the kind words.

nice finds!! love the old button!!

Geez. Next you,ll just be hunting with your pinpointer only and scoring. l.o.l.. Congrats on getting out. The rifles to match your found brass both common for deer hunting. Does the site relate in the past?

Nice to have you back out hunting again!
If Blingie's happy, everybody is happy! Nice ring you found for Blingie!
Those are some nice finds, the button and bullets, those always make ya wonder!
I found a bullet casing last week at the school I'm searching, it says 45 auto, which makes me wonder what the heck?
I may try posting a pic if I get up the nerve.
Ground is dry, we get rain Thursday, so hopefully next Sunday I will be able to find some silver there.

I wish it were that easy. LOL

About the deer? Depends on how far back. Been a while since any hunting was done there.

Thanks!

Yep, that's what I was put on this earth for, keeping the Blingster happy. :dontknow:

Good luck on your next time out!

Thanks!

Yeah , we all have those days where we just aren't really into it , we crank the disc way up and just kinda put it on "cruise control"
I gotta tell you - I wouldn't mind seeing Blingie's collection in it's entirety at some point !

About Blingie's collection, I think that "I" would love to see all he's got put away! ;)

Thanks!
