Sunshine and warm temps today in the mid to high 40s! My wife and I went to the beach to hunt beach glass and coin shoot for an hour. And then I went to the park after for a few hours. Nothing huge but the season refuses to end here!

Beach glass was good, she found some reds which is always great. Found a catholic pendant, some glass jewelry (too bad they're not emerald cut diamonds) and a lot of clad!

I'm originally from Chicago, go back every couple of years. Do you hunt in the lake at the beaches? Any good? There's a lot of history there good luck

Hi MackDog, I do hunt the water, but only when the water is 70+ degrees which isn't too often! Maybe I should have asked Santa for a wetsuit!

But yes, supposedly after the fire of 1871 they dumped most of the city into the lake and even made whole new neighborhoods! I've found some old stuff in the lake.

I do a lot of urban hunting along easements, but mostly just find clad. Silver is hard to come by downtown. The high rises make it hard for grass to grow, if I see old trees and mud I'm in like Flynn!
