I found sterling rings on Sunday and Monday.
Slipped out last night to feed the mosquitos. My first two spots were not huntable, so I went to a spot that has given up a wheat cent or two in the past, it's an old house site.
Found a few modern coins, then a dog tag and a '44 wheat cent. I was about to throw in the towel when I got a choppy high tone, most assuredly another piece of can slaw. Out comes a folded in half leaf looking piece of metal, I unfolded it and can tell that it is a feather, silver with dark gray tarnish... HEY, wait a minute... I check the back and sure enough, it's marked. A bit of baking soda and a toothbrush made it shine again.
Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!
