like the title says, what is this thing? it says "sterling" and "122 LV or LY" I did a google lens search and it showed salt shakers, but under the base of this, its hollow and runs up into the main body of the item, so any salt would fall out the bottom I would imagine. found at a 1790s home site but I doubt it stretches back that far, I'm thinking late 1800s early 1900s, the metal is stamped as well with the designs. first picture is right out of the ground and the other picture is with some other cleaned finds. I should have taken better pictures for this thread. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh an If anyone has any idea what the round object with the beaded rim is in the bottom left of the 2nd picture , let me know, that is another one I can't find.
