I went by Goodwill because they had some jewelry bags. Nothing good in the bags so I strolled to the silverplate area hoping to get lucky, and I did. There was a bundle of spoons and a knife taped up for $4.99. They looked interesting and a Native American spoon looked promising out of the group. Got home and of the 13 spoons and 1 knife, 10 of the spoons were Sterling Silver! Places like Pike's Peak, San Francisco, Salt Air Beach, and Natice American spoons from Niagara Falls. Not sure if I'm selling or stashing. I like the different patterns and they looked hand made in some cases. An antique dealer once told me the souvenir soons with Indians are a bit more collectible then most others and worth more. At least that's the reason he gave for why he priced his with Indians higher then some others he had.

Awesome pick. Heck $4.99 each and you could've still made out. Tamrok is right. Native American pieces carry a premium value.

That is a total score!! I've found lots of souvenir spoons myself and have found that nobody seems to really want them anymore. I would agree that the Native American pieces are more desirable. I've kept a few to sell just because they are really cool but have resorted to melting other ones. Just no interest. But I have not had any Native American one's. Great find and I hope you find a buyer. ☠

None of these are ever hand made. They are all stamped out in patterned dies. Great score nonetheless!!

Very nice score!

Yep, I meant hand engraved in the bowl. I think the Pike's Peak has the year 1932 etched on it. I'm still trying to decide if I will polish them all. Since they are not that old, generally speaking, shining them up should not reduce their value.
