Not a recent find......but found near an old small SW Georgia School baseball field with my Whites Coinmaster Pro.....Not something you see every day, because these wings were earned and only issued by U.S. Army order to a qualified Aerial Gunner during WW2......Thanks for looking.

Nice find! Found a sterling WW2 E.I.B. badge myself awhile back. It's always a real thrill finding things like this from the initial confusion of "huh? what the." to "OMG it's a !!" Many congratulations and many more. HH.

Today I gained permission for an estate.. It's the first base the American troops had in Europe during WW 2. Hope to find a few of these. Nobody has ever detected this estate. And the owner said that there is supposed to be an arms dump in the woods sonewhere.. Beautiful find you got.. :)

Thank You, Joe.....keep us posted on your finds, at that old U.S. base in Europe......sounds like it will be fantastic!!!.......I am a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, and have MD'd many Army bases in the U.S......like Ft. Ord, CA, Ft. Eustis, VA, Ft. McCoy, WI, Ft. Bliss, TX, Ft. Knox, KY, .......and several others in the 1970-1980's time frame......but I am sure it is almost impossible to hunt those areas now.......at Ft. Ord.....found a lot of silver coins laying on top of the ground in the many sand dunes, both U.S. and World coins, as they trained a lot of Allied troops there as well, during WW2.......GOOD LUCK!!

I will defenitley keep you posted.. The owner is sorting me out with old maps of the grounds and the old pathways... The estate itself dates back to the 1500's and was home to a major clan in those times... She has a museum on the new part of the house and I am hoping to add to her collection.

Thanks, Joe......my daughter is currently an Archaeologist for the State of Florida, for the last 15 years........and I always like when she shows me many of the museum pieces that date back to the 1500's, that have been found at some of the early Spanish Mission sites, here in Florida......I love history!!
