Hit a school built in 1901. It is nearly devoid of old coins so likely pounded in the past as well as fill dirt brought in or old dirt taken out. I did manage some deep oldies that others missed or passed on. One wheatie, my first monopoly game piece:headbang:lol and some sterling. The tombac was certainly out of place and the buckle is not of a type I have found before. Could it be as old as the button? I have found a dandy button on the site in the past so the history is there

You kicked ass on that hunt, nicely done on the silver cufflink! Very nice buckle also, congrats.

Sweet little silver cufflink! Mine are always plated.

Those are some great finds! Love every one of them. That buckle looks old as heck. The Monopoly piece just went on my BUCKET LIST!!! Way cool cuff link and SILVER! This is why we do what we do.:headbang:

Good job toasted, not sure on the buckle, but someone will know. Congrats on the link, I really like finding those. Good luck

Great finds! The monopoly piece is awesome!

Ya know....even though I tend to stay with fairly modern, well hit, places. I always get a charge out of finding something neat, that *other* people missed. ;)

Nice job.

That buckle is definitely older than the tombac. Looks to be part of a 17th century spectacle buckle. Definitely a nice sign of early occupation at that site.

Im pretty sure its a complete single loop buckle and not a fragment. Ill double check

Good stuff...can you show the face of the cufflink?

Thanks. Its just a blank oval. All my other silver links are monogrammed though

Great hunt, nice relics...congratulations! :occasion14:

You may be right, but with those design attributes it still has that 17th century look to it. But I can't find anything to match in my buckle reference book.
