Dollies for doing body work on cars. You hold the dolly behind the dent, and hit the front with a hammer to get the dent out.

It loiks like it clamps into something. I don't see a way to hold it behind a dent while hammering on the other side with the appropriate size body dent hammer. Here's my dent dolly:

I think mick56 is spot on. These things come in a verity of shapes and sizes to allow you to get in tight spots and conform to certain shapes.:thumbup:

You can do it on your phone app. Go to menu bar and click on "report" type in solved. That's how mine works anyway.

Judging by it's size and shape, it's probably a specialized dolly for working a specific area........such as a wheel lip opening or hood/trunk edge.
