Affraid it's just a old rusted into bolt. :wink:

"Square Head Bolts
From the early 20th century, these large bolts were reclaimed from post and beam industrial buildings like barns and trolley shops. They have a fabulous rusty color, and come in ½, 5/8 and ¾ inch widths and range in lengths from 8” to 16”.

that's a beam spike from when they notched beams together and used the spikes to keep them in place
