Any ideas what this relates to? Relatively modern I would think.
It’s made from two thin plates crimped together, leaving a hollow interior… in the manner of say a two-piece button. No evidence that is was ever attached to anything though, nor any sign that it had a suspension loop. It’s highly magnetic, but clearly very tarnish resistant and I think it may be chrome-plated steel.
The raised design is the same on both sides but poorly defined. There appears to be a naked running figure with either wings or a flowing cloak behind and a wearing a Grecian helmet (Hermes?). The outstretched hand may be holding something short and wand-like. There might possibly be a star in front of the figure at waist height.
It’s no clearer in the hand than it is in the photographs. There seems to be a five-letter word at the bottom for which the letters appear to be “MV..T..” (which doesn’t really make much sense).
Found in the UK, but could be from anywhere really. I’m stumped!
