Sorry about the pictures. Didn't know they were that big and that bad. :(

The disc also has a round marking on the top center about one and hald centimeters.

Thanks for looking.

Hurts my eyes. You get what you see on your camera screen. You need to look for a flower icon macro lens setting on your camera. We also have a test forum where you can practice resizing and reposting or just take another pic resize it and repost it.

"Hurts my eyes" :D :D

Mine too!

Anyway, boy am I dumb! Here's a historical tidbit about steel.

Some experts date steel manufacturing to 1,400 BC in Africa. The Chinese
used steel, as far back as 200 BC, to successfully manufacture
weapons. However, these were primitive steel making ages.
It wasn't until the 1600s that steel making became a large scale
operation.

I actually believed steel was invented in the 19th century! Learn something everyday!

Could be an early freeze plug from engine or pump used at the mine?? Tony

We thought the same thing, however, there is no shoulder to create a seal. I believe a freeze plug is out.

Bearing cap maybe?
