They are still made I think. You put a fuel piece in the firebox,some water in the boiler,get the fire going,and they really work! Google search "Mamod steam models". They are made in England.

VERY collectable. There are Mamod collector clubs in the US and England. I believe the same company makes/made toy steam trains.
