Steam boat pin thing

Found this Steam Boat thing in a park, in the middle of a field. It appears to be either brass or copper, it's quite heavy for it's size. There is a bright gold finish to it in areas. The backing is mystery I thought it was a pin, but it doesn't look like it. But it looks like something was molded back there at one time. It was buried at 4 inches.

Any ideas?

Yep looks like it, too bad it's a worthless find. Here is the product page, it's probably a discontinued pin.
