So I've been picking up CWR quarters again, a bit here and there, to see if I can get any silver quarters. So far, only 1 this year out of about $4,500 searched - not good odds.

However, I've been finding a fair number of error coins, or so I think. Mostly I've been finding Arizona quarters that have the extra rock under the cactus. I've been trying to take a decent shot of it, but so far without much success.

The interesting thing is that there appears to be two varieties; one with the full rock, and one with an extended rock spur just to the right of the cactus. Will post more pics once I figure out how to best do so.

Anyone want to contribute knowledge of state quarter errors?

Thanks!

I haven't heard of an Arizona state quarter error; I only know about the high leaf/low leaf varieties of the Wisconsin quarter and the extra tree Minnesota quarter.

I'm interested to hear an error coin specialist's opinion on this.

I have one high leaf and one lower leaf. And one Kansas "IN God we Rust" quarter. A grease mark obliterated the T in trust. SOme guy was selling some of these for a decent price. I have one. Wish I could find another 5 or 6 of the leaf errors. :-)

Don't know about the Arizona one. I found a wisconsion low leaf error while I lived down south. still my most valuable find!
