Im new to this forum (im 16) and I was just wondering what the limits are for THing on state game lands (in Pennsylvania). My brother told me of a cabin in state game lands that a man built and lived in during the early 1900's. He lived there by himself and only travelled to town once a month (on his mule) to buy supplies, my Pap told us this. Because of this I feel the site (although no one that has seen the place), which is now just the rough stone outlining where the cabin used to be there mayt be something there to be found, especially a possible cache because i doubt that he believed in banks. Also, my brother brought up that there would have to be a trash dump there, and i would definately be willing to look through it in hopes of finding possibly some old bottles or whatnot. So is THing on state game lands in pennsylvania illegal? Thanks.

try contacting the pennsylvania division of fish and wildlife. they should be able to tell you. if PA is anything like Delaware, i wouldnt get my hopes up though. :'(

Unfortunately it comes down to, nothing can be removed from
PA State game lands except Fish & Game in season.

There is Debate on whether You can Detect, & Dig up.

Some game wardens will say Yes to this, but you must Rebury or let lay anything found.

Others say because of the Temptation to take, NO

Others say because you can't Dig into the ground No.

So, to put it simply, avoid Game lands unless you have the
express Written Permission of the Game warden in charge of that area.

PA State Parks are OK with permission from the Park office.
