I found this Star today while out relic hunting? , Just wondering if anyone had any idea what it might be .

If it's from a Civil War era site.....From Howard Crouch's Civil War Artifacts book.....Show's a star similar to yours, described as the following: "A field cut star. These were often made by the Texans who made a special effort to wear the star device."

Thanks tchaire for the tip , I looked in Crouch's book & you were correct , There are a few of the Star's in there , Don't know if it matters or not but if I lay my Star on top of the ones in the book it is the same size , Thanks for the info .
