Hi all:
I found this token recently at a farmhouse dating back to at least 1873. It is the size of a nickel and reads "Good for five cents trade" with no business named. The other side appears to have two columns or a Roman numeral two.:dontknow: I don't know if the star/moon stamped in it were original or not.

TIA for any help with IDing.

The crescent moon and 5 pointed star are Masonic symbols. They are also signs of the Nation of Islam and used by witches.

My guess is Masonic token.

Why would Masonic emblems appear on a Good for 5c trade token?

Here is a Star Moon silver ring I found long ago.

I guess this Mexican Silver ring must be a MasonicWitchieIslamic ring. ::) I always assumed this ring was a cult ring, but than again, maybe not.

Oh, found it many "moons" ago....... ;D

Thanks for the help everyone. I think Drgest came closest with the token links he posted. It appears they did make cut out tokens. Without a business named on my token I'll probably never know for sure.

I am surprised no one has brought up the South Carolina theory.
I have found buttons and tokens. that are related to the state. I have also found Masonic cuff links that look about the same...who knows?

:D The star and crescent moon were used by others, as you know. I only listed 3 off the top of my head. It may be a cult ring or Islamic. :dontknow: As 4H pointed out it was also used by South Carolina. Interesting ring. Start a new thread and maybe the readers can ID it for you.

Thats a very close match drgest! :icon_thumright: Im posting the pic from your link.
