Looking for any information about finds near Stanley, New Mexico, on White Lakes Road, between 41 and 285. Just bought some property out there and am interested in the history of the area, old maps, any areas of archeological interests, old photo's of anyone settling the area, minerals, gold, etc. It is difficult to find anything about this area, especially old photographs and historical info. It is in the middle of nowhere, but it is such an interesting place and I know it hasn't been empty forever.
I am finding a personal interest in treasure hunting and metal detecting, but have bought my first metal detector yet. I just found this website and have been searching the archives for hours.
