Sure, lots of good areas to hunt there. You've got everything from flatlands towns to foothills areas. I've hunted around Newman, Modesto, etc....

Do your research, and go find old spots that hopefully haven't been pounded to smithereens

O, ok thanks for the tip ironically I'm actually in Modesto haven't found anything good here tho . I'll defiantly do more research.

there's some hunters in your area that are on the local CA specific forum called "Kinzli" forum. To get to the main page (past the visitor page), you have to become a member. But it's easy. Just pick a name and a password. Some central valley fellows, from around you, chime in there from time to time.
