Stange chunks of metal

My wife and I went digging today and found these pieces of metal. Can anyone tell me what they are? Any help would be appreciated.

looks like aluminum to me.

Heavy for size = welding slag
Light = aluminum melted in campfires

Have dug both too often -

People build a fire, sit around the fire drinking beer, toss the beer cans into the fire and "bingo" you got an aluminum nugget. There is a ATV park over at Winchester Bay on the Oregon Coast, that has so many of those I finally gave up. Every one of them seems like a good hit.
