Stagecoach weigh station

I'm going back to the woods tomorrow to once again try to find the stagecoach weigh station I had posted about earlier.? I have access to the entire area now and should be able to find it if there are any remains at all.? Have no idea what I might find.? Hopefully some relics and old coins? I've been in a slump lately and it's about time I found something worthwhile! Monty

A graveyard and a weight station? Wouldn't that make for a lot of DEAD WEIGHT?

You're dead right! I think I found it about dark last night. Just had time to run a quick scan before lights out. Found an old rusted .30-30 casing and a bullet at the basse of the biggest tree. Apparently target practice, using the tree for a backstop. I noticed a lot of old boards, barbed wire and misc scattered tin or? The boards had regular nails in them, wonder when they quit using squared off iron nails? Anyway, got up this morining bright and early and it was raining so I stayed in and finally gave up and came home. I'll be back down there again before long and get 'er done sooner or later. I think this is about the third time I have reported on this topic with no results! I'm as tired of telling about it as you are hearing it! Monty
