St. Benedict Religious Medal

I had done some homework with old maps and found a house from 1800’s, that doesn’t appear on later maps. This place is in a plowed field that I have already have permission to hunt on that farm land. Only 2 hours to hunt. When I started to hunt, I easily found the debris field, and then out came a really nice button with a flower! Then out came the Benedict Religious Medal!! Next came the key to the front door, that’s not there anymore? I turned up some neat relics and some other goodies.
Here are the results.
Remember — dig it all and take the trash!

Sweet finds! I was just about to post a St Bernard Medal as well! This is what the back means... “Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself!"

That’s pretty crazy verbiage from a church.

Thanks...There has to be a way to date these medals ,does any body know? The medal is broken on the top where it said IHS!

I found a similar religious medal this past summer
in a mostly 19 th century spot.
I’m guessing 1850 +
