Twinsrule ~

It appears your Squirt bottle was made by the Glenshaw Glass Company, with a "G" in a box for their symbol. Take a look (and I mean a very-very close look with a magnifying glass) at the lip and there should be an "iddy-biddy" letter embossed on it. This letter is part of the Glenshaw dating code below. Please let us know what you find.

Thanks,

SBB

Thanks Bob, i found an S on the lip, so i now know my bottle is from 1947. Its nice to know some more history about it, because i found it in my grandmothers backyard. Just wondering, but does this make it worth anything?

Squirt bottles like yours are fairly common. Plus yours looks like it has some paint loss on the label which, unfortunately, decreases the value even more. In mint condition one like that might be worth about $5.00. So I would say yours is worth about half of that. But it's still a keeper, especially since it came from a family home. Check e-Bay and you will likely see lots of them.

Thanks, i wasn't expecting it to even be worth that much. It's just neat to know some background history on it. Unfortunatly, so far $2.50 is still the most valuable thing i've detected ;D, but hopefully the 09SVDB penny will come tomorrow!! :laughing9:
