Well my dad did it again. We made a quick 1 hour hunt between the rain today after hurricane issac has everything muddy here in the great state of Louisiana. My dad found a seated half dime and a wheat penny. The half dime was about four inches deep and after washing the dirt off we could see that there was a hole through it. After taking a closer look we could see that the hole was made with a square nail. Sure it takes away from some people's idea of collectable value but when you find it yourself those types of things add character to it. Needless to say my dad was excited to make that find it was his oldest coin he had ever found. I happened to find a nickel three cent not long after, so hopefully we will be back soon and have another story and some new pics for you guys. 1858 half dime 1925 wheat and 1876 nickel three cent Piece
