One of the very few "paleo square knives" I've seen that I'd place in the paleo era. Real no-brainer. Surprised nobody commented on it.

ADD Seems I overlooked it myself.

I knew there had to be a picture of this here somewhere. Horse creek chert paleo square knife with nose scraper @ distal end. Other side's base is fluted.

Just to show that I can agree with Uniface on occasion :occasion14: (particularly when it comes to paleo tools), here is a similar piece to what he posted. A big preform that was repurposed. Hard to see in hand, but the shadow picture shows the fluting nipple quite well. Some work on the top to square up the break, and a lot of use wear. One of my favorite old pieces.
