DSCI2780.JPGLooking for additional info on what I believe to be a heel band of a spur. Found on a camp site around Culpeper, Va. The reale has been broken off as I been told was frequently done to prevent future use. There appears to be threading on each of the long metal parts. This isn't like the normal spurs found in this area. Any info would be appreciated. There is some decorative work on each side like an arrow point where the long metal part joins the band. A single tree is part of the rigging for various horse drawn implements and such.
An axle strap is basically the same thing as a U-bolt

Your item looks like a pipe hanger bracket. Like those used for ceiling sprinklers.
