I am going to look at a Springfield XD45 4 inch barrel after work, a man is selling to raise cash, comes with 150 rounds, gun case, holster, 3 magazines (2 13 rounds and 1 10) quick loader........ All for $500..

Anyone got one, how do you like it. It has real good reviews...

I traded mine for another gun.

I guess it depends on what you are used to. It has a very severe grip angle, so if you are used to .45s it will feel more natural.
But if you are more of a Smith or Glock shooter, it will feel odd.

It is a VERY reliable, very well constructed firearm and quite accurate. the grip safety i a little odd at first, but you forget about it, and it has a nice trigger.

I would say that if you have hot a lot of other guns I would ask to put a few mags through it first, it is a love/hate gun.
Either you fall in love with it, or you don't like it.

I have a S&W 559 9mm, a Ruger LC9 9mm and a small pocket 22.... Have fired 45, but never own one, only other pistol I owned was the 44 black hawk special, but I traded it off over 20 years ago...

It seems like a good price for all that comes with it compared to new. Seller says he has fired about 100 rounds thru it....

That's not a bad price with the mags included.
You MIGHT be able to get him to go 450 on it though...

Like I said, it is a VERY reliable gun and doesn't have the snap and muzzle flip of 1911 .45s from what I noticed.

And funny you mentioned the LC9, I almost bought one but it just felt too "thin" to me... I guess I'm used to Glocks.

See if you can shoot it and if you like it, (Like I ad, some people don't care for the feel.) and then offer him 400 for it. If he says 500, then go 450.00

That's about 60.00 worth of ammo and those magazines are getting hard to find aftermarket. If you can find them right now, they are about 40.00 a piece. So, add 80.00 in magazines. and 60.00 in ammo to the gun, and he is looking at 360.00 for a gun that retails for double that.

Don't think I can get him much lower, he was asking $550, I got him to go to $500, I called and checked, $600 is best price I can find new and that doesn't include the extra mags, holster, gun case for carry not to mention the ammo...

He lives in the country so I will fire before I buy....

Very happy with mine. Bought it a few years ago. Believe it was the NRA handgun of the year in about 2009. Came with the hard case along with an extra mag and other accessories. Accuracy very good right out of the box. Also bought the 3.8 in .40S&W a year or so ago.

Heres what you need TH.Babyface Nelsons heavily modified colt 1911.38 super ACP very, interesting piece.

I picked up the piece, turns out he had 3 1/2 boxes of ammo, 3 boxes of FMJ and 1/2 box of hollow points and a dozen "snake shells" with #9 shot... Fired 14 shots with it, it is a nice piece, low recoil for a 45 and fits my hand good.....

Don't like 'em! Handle thingy looks way longer than the bit that goes "bang". Looks unbalanced.

You can't judge till you fired one.... It is well balanced in the hand, I can see what it is so highly rated by the people that reviewd them and especially the ones that own them, including me now.....

Fair enough and very true.
