After being buried in snow and ice for the past week, it finally warmed up enough today get out again. I spent a few hours this afternoon sloshing around in the snow, slush, dirt and mud. I got pretty wet and muddy and somehow managed to end up with a mild sunburn on my face and neck :dontknow: The slush also accumulated and stuck inside the voids of the coil making it pretty heavy which created a constant chore to dislodge it. I am not complaining, I got out today and was able to detect, so its all good :headbang:

My efforts were rewarded with three wheats, a 1953 Rosie and a silver shell.

With conditions like that with snow clinging to your coil ,you did really well.

is that a pet squirrel?? I have heard they make good pets

Determination pays off. 🙌 Great job!

Really nice hunt despite the conditions. Congrats on your wheats and silvers.

Congrats on the great finds and glad you were able to get out! Looks like we're going to skip Spring here in Michigan again!

She was a friendly wild squirrel we knew for several years. She would take food from our hand, climb up on us and even wonder inside our house if we left our door open. She was very well fed and finally died at an unknown ripe old age for a squirrel.

That last photo is actually a different squirrel. It was an orphaned baby I found in my garden. I built it a box in a tree for it and fed it until it was old enough to fend for itself.

Nice old coins and cool shell...silver? :occasion14:

It's always great to get out of the nasty weather and get a chance to swing the coil! Sweet finds!!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny
