spring silver and indians

Went back out to my silver spot that has put out something like 40 or 50 seated seated for me and somewhere around 100 Indians. This trip though I found only one seated dime, but was able to fill out the finds with 7 crusty Indians and a shield nickle. I also stumbled upon where the starting pistol was used for the horse races, think they spilled a box of blanks at some point, or less likely is they emptied the pistol in the exact same 2 foot area every time. The shells were too corroded to find firing pin marks and basically disintegrated when you touched them. Wish this place would put out 6 to 12 silver each trip like it used to(yeah I know I'm spoiled :lol.

I’d love to see what you can round up from the spot as well! That would be a dream for me, I’ve never had a site produce more than 8 silvers, plus I haven’t even joined the seated club yet. Only a matter of time though �� good hunting!

Will do, there will be some missing though, and the reason will probably make some of you sick. I reburied about 8 of those silvers in my test garden....yes let me repeat myself, i reburied trimes and seated coins.....

When I first did it my detecting buddy 3cyclbill said something like "you would drive people crazy knowing you reburied more seated and 1800s silver than they have found ever". In my mind it can only help me find more! At least if I forget to dig it up and make someone a very happy detectorist in the future. Its been sitting for about 2 or 3 years now, should be just getting ready to give decent test results!

Don't worry I haven't worked my way out to Mass yet, your seated are safe for now! I only get to regularly find seated in the spring as this place is literally impossible to hunt any other time of the year. any other time during the year I am like the rest of ya, thrilled to get just one.
