Spring Loaded Brass Lever?

Hi all,

This thing is about 5 inches end to end. Made of Brass. The top smoothed rounded part seems as if it was supposed to rest against something and the squared portion at the other end seems to have been inserted into something. Any Ideas?

Looks like a small tractor clutch pedal

I was thinking tractor pedal as well.

I don't think a tractor pedal would be that small or made of brass.
