Well spring farming season is here again in northern IL. The kids and I have started to walk around the field a little. Still not hardcore but learning more each year about this good hobby. My oldest is now 10 and he knows many different types of artifacts. We haven't gone the no-till route yet, so flipping up a few points each year it seems. I don't run a moldboard, although I do set the disc ripper pretty deep, hoping to lift them closer to the surface. We found 4 points and 2 scrapers so far. Hoping for a few more in the coming weeks. Tried a creek hunt yesterday. Definitely don't have that technique dialed in yet. Good luck everyone.
