spoons

HI,
My mom bought some spoons at a flea market for 50 cents apiece. They have a president on the handle and carving in the scoop part. they say WM ROGERS CO. and IS on back of handle. The scoop on all of them is tarnished on the end.

I'm new to all this stuff so maybe you have seen one. Would they be silver

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Rogers Co. "US Presidents" spoons are silver-plated. Note that there's no Sterling mark on yours ...and if they were Sterling (solid silver rather than plated) the guy selling them online sure as heck would have mentioned it. ;-)
