spoon I think?

I found a spoon last weekend or the handle of one and it looks like its pewter thats been silver plated and I cleaned it and sall a stamp that reads llewellyn @ ryland on it. I cant find anything on it if anyone could help date it id be greatful, it was found at a site where I found 10 buttons a thimble and several other nice artifacts and a halfcent with no date the only thing i found I could date is a virginia state seal button. thanks again. sorry no pics i still cant figure it out.
