spoon experts needed

It's most likely an early to mid 1900s ( I think 1915 ) spoon... nickel/silverplated.

Any chance at a picture?

Many of these had portraits of British military officers...

Not sure how many years the pattern number 1881 was used but did see where someone said approx 1939 for one that was found.

So 1881 is a pattern number only I suppose and not the date of manufacture for sure.

Yep, the 1881 Rogers trademark was first used by Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. 1910. The A1 stands for standard plate.
