Spoon - brasil silver?

found this on my property. thought at first it said brazen silver then realized it might be brazil silver. trying to date this spoon, and why there might be a perfect smooth hole in the middle of it?? tried to scan it to show the words but that part came out blurry..sorry....Gregg

Had the same spoon turned out not to be silver. Was told that south america had a lot of silver forgers. Hit it with acid and it turned green. Same with another spoon that looked exactly like that one also it was labeled potsi silver. But doesnt hurt to check

A guess would be like German silver which is silver wash over other base metal

i know its not silver silver...got excited when i saw that, whatever it was covered in, obviously has worn off, trying to date the spoon, and the purpose if any of the hole in it...thanks so far guys...gregg

Most likely a souvenir spoon. Need a better pic of the handle to know for sure. Maybe some electrolyses will help..

what about navel jelly? or peroxide? or seems to be no other marking on it..
