Spokeshave?

This is a recent find found in California. It's a little over an inch tall and made of wine red Jasper. Looks worked from both sides. I thought if an artifact it looks like a spokeshave. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the education Tom I appreciate it. Makes sense to be an expedient tool or unfinished piece as only one edge seems to be worked.That really clicks.

If it were a spokeshave, the little jagged flake intersections would be worn off from use (smooth curve).

Gotcha thanks for the tip Uniface. Just started finding Flint and started to pick it up and noticed some edges are worked.
 

If you want to get precise with it, if the edge opposite the cutting edge is as wide and flat (@ a 90 degree angle) as your pictures imply, it's a backed knife. The backing is to allow safe/comfortable downward pressure to be exerted in use.
