Is this a lead spindle whorl?

Found in a field on a property that was an Indian Trading Post and later saw CW occupation.

Dime used for size reference.
Slight convexity/concavity to the shape. Came up a 48 on AT MAX.

it could be but I'm no expert on them. I will say that I've found musket balls with that kind of white patina along side coins from early 1800's. It certainly has some age to it.

Lead washers were used where a seal was needed. A spindle whirl would be much larger so it would have the momentum to actually spin.
