Finally got out to an older house down the road I've been wanting to hit for a long time on Saturday. I knew the house had been last lived in in the seventies sometime so I figured there had to be something there... Needless to say, I had terrible luck! Not a coin. The area is pretty grown up, made it hard to swing the detector. But a few broken bottles sticking out of the pine needles caught my attention. I found a "mound" of Vicks Formula 44 bottles, I took a couple dozen, but I bet theres hundreds there. looked like they were maybe 70s? It is interesting though, either this guy had a terrible cough... or a terrible addiction!
Today, Sunday I decided to go over to my Uncle Harry's place, he passed away last winter while I was in Afghanistan... His house wasn't too old but it was on the edge of an old tote road that passed through in the early 1900s so I had that for reassurance... But, after a few hours, I had nothing notable, maybe a couple bucks in change, nothing special.
Only one thing I found today really caught my eye, older Master Key with a lion on it. Pretty cool.
