Went to the artifact show in Mt. Pleasant Iowa Sunday, and bought some pieces All these were from $1-5 each, I kinda like the unhafted knives/scrapers. It was the first show I've been to, and I'll e going to many more! I was surprised and kind of dissapointed with all the pieces being sold for $1 or 2, I don't think I could sell anything that I found myself. It just mens alot more to me than a couple dollars. Of corse I have only been looking for less than a year so when I run out of frame and wall space maybe I'll have to sell some! The two tiny ones in the upper left are modernly reworked. Mostly from SE Iowa and NE MO and some from ILL.

Nice Blade's..................and nice point.........the little stem point
I was just wondering why you buy broke points.......?
Nothing wrong with it...................
but let me know in 25 years if you still LIKE finding broken points..... ;D
You wont be buying them............!!
I figure you had a reason.......................
I have a reason WHY I would sell some of my brokes...............
But would probably just give them away......................

" Nothing wrong with it " Then why question his decision? To each their own, your reply doesn't make any sense.

Very nice meeting you at the show bud. Hope you had a good time and were able to talk to some folks and get acquanted. It's really a good group of people in that neck of the woods and I hope you'll be back at a show again. Next up is in Durant, IA in April. Or, if you want artifact overload there is the biggest show in the country in Collinsville, IL on March 20 thru 21. Collinsville is near St. Louis and if you get a chance it's really worth a visit.

I have my reasons to speak to all-atv
I understand why a person would sell a common point from their area for a dollar or two......
Do you have a reason you would?...........
I have a reason I would..........
I have more broken points THEN ANYONE on board......plus 12 matched up two piece points.
I also like Iowa ............dispite the blizzard pictures he should the other day and thinking about living there 10,000 years ago.................a person would be going South for the winter

You really think you have more broken points than anyone on this board?

Great buys!! I feel the same way. I would never part with anything i found personally, since most of them have been found on my fathers farm! They are worth more than money to me. You did good. Joseph.
