Neat Badge! Don't know how old it is right off hand, but STP.CO was a hallmark for the L A Stamp Co (aka L A Rubber Stamp Co) .. may try researching that and see what turns up.

In fact, to the left of the pin on the reverse, you can see L. A. RUB so Creskol is right on.

Thanks! The lead solder was hiding some of the letters to the L A Rubber. Tried starting the research with STP, got nowhere.

Thanks! The first site posting I found as well, but not the second.
Man, do I wish it said L.A. County!
Just picked up an original 1929 Johnson Smith catalog, hoping it's in there.
Thanks all,
Carl

Your badge says L.A. County when viewed from the back but not the front. :icon_scratch:

Holy Crap, I did not notice that!!
Sitting here after 6 hours detecting in 97 degree heat, completely spaced after a couple hours on the computer, but I still should have seen that!

YOU ARE THE MAN!!

Looks like they may have reused them to resell, really strange.
Thanks again, now I have to resend a email to Mark Parker.
