Yes, the ones with a number "1" on them are worth a dollar, the ones with a number "5" on them are worth 5 dollars, a 10 is worth ten dollars, etc. , etc.....
So yes, certain numbers make bills worth more than others.

Books, dont listen to these clowns. They have NO idea what they are talking about, especially thst digging dumps guy. Trust me that you have some really valuable bills in your possesion. I buy and sell these bills every day and I can make you.an offer for the 20s and the 10. I am willing to pay $800 for the three $20s and 125. only if you play lier's poker..
print errors, reprints, very old as in pre 50's all have more than face value but what you are asking about is everyday tender. If you find something out of the norm give us a photo and then we can go from there.

If you can send me the money first by mail i will send you the bills

You guys are mean... :tongue3:

Things that make bills valuable are uncommon cereal numbers like 12344321 or 00001234 or 00000055 or 00000777 any uncommon number combinations can be valuable. Other than that bills are mostly worth face value. Unless they are older dates in perfect condition like 2 dollar bill from the 20's in PERFECT condition. No folds or creases ext. Silver and gold certificates are only worth a little more than face unless also perfect. Real money is in confederate money and older currency. This is what I know about bills, seriously. I hope that helps !!

Keep @ it and HH !!

Confederate money in my experience isn't worth messing with. Might be some exemptions to this but for the most part their not that valuable & there are to many counterfeit confederate bills that are almost completely worthless.

You guys must not check eBay on bill prices much... People are GETTING $75-$80 over face value for between 3-5 new (2012) uncirculated consecutive serial number $100 bills. I couldn't believe it, some people do try to get more & fail! While that's not making a killing after fees & all it is still turning ordinary money into more money. The 2006 New York $100 if uncirculated also sells for more than face.

It isn't unusual for the older style $100 bills to bring 25% over face. Ive seen the 1969, 1951 or 52 & even a 74 sell for $125 & they were not even uncirculated. So ya bills sure can be funny on eBay!

I'll stay away from the modern stuff, I don't even want that stuff in my bank account... :laughing7: Haha !! Feebay is crazy you can sell the new coins for crazy prices too. As for the older notes and confederate bills I'm no expert and I really have very little knowledge on it. I just wanted to give this person *some* information and hopefully stir up some conversation. I never imaged Confederate notes, not being worth much. I was always told that's the stuff you want if your going to invest in notes. :dontknow: Well thank you for sharing, I hope more people do the same. I'd love to learn more about bills myself !! :hello2:

I know some people who refer to the old US large notes as "confederate" bills so maybe that's what someone was actually telling you? I'm no confederate money expert either but I use to own some (a $100, a $50, a $20, $10 & a counterfeit $5) & I got very little for them (under face value:BangHead:). If they had been the same years US notes they would have been easily worth 8-10x or more of face value! The old large US notes are very collectable as are the small Early 1900's notes such as $100 bills with a side profile image of Franklin facing right Picture 36.pnginstead of a front profile image. One Hundred Dollar Bill F 1100 FR1100 $100 US Federal Reserve Series of 1914 VG | eBay
Another good one is the old $10 bill with Jackson on it Picture 41.png
& the $20 with Cleveland on it

The $50 follows this trend too

so you get the idea! Those are what ya want IMO that $100 sold for over $500 & 3 to 7 times face value (or more) is average for all those types of bills. Many of the older large notes go even higher tho.
